QC bureaucratic stuff has always been an adventure in ancient, convoluted, and never-fully-bilingual web interfaces, but at least it was a refreshing contrast to the SaaS hellholes devouring everything else. until now.

the new "Arrima" immigration portal combines the best of both worlds:
- Microsoft auth
- a post-login holding queue for your turn to access the site
- Material UI (breaks tab navigation for forms, etc.)
- sliced-up text labels where icons should be
- French only everywhere
