Also Sydney *constantly* calls the crib a “crate”
got you now, you little bugger
i'm being told we're calling them "structured play environments" now
twisting my brain into an gordian knot trying to develop a powerpoint presentation i could make my wife justifying this being our second car
i am a sucker for catalogues with painted illustrations. shout out to zingermans bakery in ann arbor
we are ordering a "Titan Squash Tunnel" today though
baby eye contact
pictured: some leggy seedlings that need a bit of light therapy
to be clear, we are using these for seedlings not ready to be planted directly outside
i got some fancy LED grow lights for @sydney for mother's day, and the branding is the most "... you know ;)" I've ever seen. even the guy at the hardware store was like 👀 👀 👀 and I literally had a baby in a carseat with me
update: i purchased one of these 6 gallon locking-lid pails, which fits quite a bit of birdseed, so we'll see how that goes. still need a secondary thing to scoop out and go fill the feeder but i hope to not find this emptied and shells strewn across my garage floor
We have a lawn in the front because it’s been there for 115 years, I have never watered it and I hope to never do so
Backyard is going to be more and more garden as we go
the bad neighbors are having irrigation trenches for their lawn dug today, which is extremely loud, and while I’m glad this means their yard will no longer just be a desolate mudscape I truly do not understand why they need irrigation for a lawn in probably the most temperate and rain-healthy region of the entire United States
Fun fact: I just learned today that only other Canadians call these “marrettes”
Snow peas!! Things are happening!
beet sprouts! i did see a robin hopping in between the fence yesterday. going to put some chickenwire up between the fenceposts to hopefully deter some of the hoppers and creepers. hardening off some kale right now for planting. last frost was yesterday in our zone (6).
