my alma mater is having an event called "To Give or Not to Give. Is Philanthropy Right for You?" and it's hosted by two alumni who will tell you "how these two alumni decided giving was right for them"

one of them is the director of a consultancy that advises nonprofits on fundraising

the other is literally the director of strategic fundraising at my college

hm, i wonder why they decided it was a good idea to give to my college

For the record I would never give money to my college, that’s deviant behavior

@alex "look, if you’re an adult still giving money to your college, college is a $120,000 hooker and you are an idiot who fell in love with her. She’s not going to do anything else for you. It’s done."
