while the premise is compelling, "needle in a timestack" is one of the worst movie titles i have heard in a very long time

you don't have to use the title of the short story! most short stories have bad titles!

predictably people on reddit are saying "it's a 60s scifi title, they're all like this" which like, yeah, that's why the movies aren't called "WE CAN REMEMBER IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE" and "DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP"

"do androids dream of electric sheep" is one of the all-time dumbest titles. humans don't dream of sheep! they count sheep so they can fall asleep!!! perchance to dream!!!!!!

speaking of titles this movie should have been called "The hits of the 70s, 80s, and now!"

@alex If anyone ever adapts "Repent, Harlequin!" Said the Ticktockman, I'm gonna need them to use the short story title.

@alex yeah I write all my apps on the timestack

Tcl, IIS, MySQL, ECMAScript

@alex This is a particularly bad point, because a lot of TZ episode names change the names of the story they're based on!!

@alex call it fucking Needle in a Haystack. Totally fine, works okay

@Thomas there has never been a movie called Needles
